Trees Ontario & Partners Host Free Seed Forecasting Workshops
To respond to an urgent need to replenish supplies of tree seed, this spring Trees Ontario is conducting a series of free tree seed forecasting workshops, which will help improve seed collection efficiencies and restore tree seed inventories across the province of Ontario.
Collecting seeds and tracking those that sprout and compiling information about seed availability, location, type and quantity is an important component in further building Ontario's tree planting infrastructure, and it is vital to the overall success of long-term planning for tree planting in Ontario.
Free workshops are being offered to individuals with an interest in tree seed collection and forecasting.
A light lunch and refreshments will be provided. Please register as space is limited.
