Green Giving Options For Everyone On Your List!

This holiday season, give the gift of trees and help us save our environment and our health

December 20, 2010 - As the holiday season rapidly approaches, do you feel as though you are running out of time to find gifts for your loved ones, clients or associates? Trees Ontario has an exciting variety of Green Gift options that allow you to send warm wishes to the special people in your life.

When you give a green gift through Trees Ontario, you are making a contribution that has a meaningful impact not only on the environment but on overall human health. One billion more trees are needed in Ontario to ensure the health of ourselves and our families – especially those most vulnerable, our children and our elders.

It has been proven that a clean, healthy environment helps to facilitate a healthier population. Your contribution will help us reach our goal of planting 3 million trees during our 2010 planting season. These trees will have numerous benefits for our environment and the individuals that reside in our communities.

Individual Giving Options:

In Honour Donation: Through our special holiday giving program, you can give someone the gift of ten trees planted for only $25; 100 trees for $250, or 200 trees for $500. With a minimum donation of $25, Trees Ontario will send you or the recipient of your choice a Trees Ontario card with a holiday greeting and the news that trees have been planted on their behalf.

Tree Trimmers
Looking for a unique way to dress up the tree or your gifts this year? Want to send a non-traditional holiday greeting card? For only $35, Trees Ontario will send you a set of 10 tree trimmers with envelopes. Along with a seasonal greeting, a message tells your recipient(s) that a donation is being made to Trees Ontario to plant a tree.

Holiday Card Inserts
: For donations of $30 or more, Trees Ontario can provide you with 8 smaller, one-sided gift cards that can be placed inside existing holiday cards or sent on their own, which will let your loved ones know that you have made a donation in their honour.

Corporate Giving Options:

For organizations, giving trees is an easy way to show employees, customers and suppliers that you are serious about going green. Companies can donate to plant trees on behalf of their clients or set up a contribution with purchase program that will see a donation made to Trees Ontario from each customer purchase.

The pressure to make real and significant change is building. We need your support in order to ensure the future health of our environment and populace. This holiday season, look to do something smarter and greener with your money and purchase a gift that will impress your friends, family or customers with your thoughtfulness.
