Trees Ontario will be attending several events on October 1, 2011 to discuss how our tree planting programs can help landowners save up to 75% on the cost of tree planting services. If you are planning on attending these events, please drop by, say hello and learn a bit more about our programs.

The Forest Fair of Eastern Ontario

Tim Gray, Trees Ontario Field Advisor for Eastern Ontario, will be at the Trees Ontario booth to discuss available subsidies and tree planting tips at Ferguson Forest Centre in Kemptville, ON.

Renfrew County Outdoor Woodlot Conference

Meet with Wade Knight, Trees Ontario Field Advisor, to learn more about what how our subsidies can help you maximize what you’ve got. The conference takes place at 1116 McGonegal Rd (off Beach Rd near the junction of McGonegal and Valley View Roads), Beachburg, ON.

Forest Management Planning Workshop

Trees Ontario Field Advisor Glenn McLeod will be attending and presenting on landowner subsidies in Roblin, ON.

Trees Ontario, working with its partners, is the largest, not-for-profit tree planting partnership in North America. Trees Ontario’s goal is to restore the province’s tree planting capacity, especially throughout southern Ontario on private lands, by providing funding and planning support for its tree planting partners.

With our partners, Trees Ontario planted nearly 3 million trees in 2011. Our goal is to support the planting of 10 million trees per year by 2015. To help put Ontario on the path to achieving this goal, Trees Ontario is seeking landowners to participate in its programs.

Landowners must have a minimum of 2.5 acres (1 hectare) of cleared productive land, commit to a 15-year forest management agreement, and make a minimum contribution to tree planting costs.
