Ontario Forestry Association
The OFA has been involved in public education on forestry and environmental issues since the 1940s. Through its various programs and initiatives, the OFA raises awareness and understanding of all aspects of Ontario's forests, and develops commitment to the stewardship of forests.

 

Ontario Forestry Association - Focus On Forests
This free online resource provides quality lesson plans and activities for educators, and covers a variety of topics about the forest ecosystem.

The Oak Ridges Moraine Foundation (ORMF), Trees Ontario and the Ontario
Forestry Association (OFA) have developed a series of free Focus on
Forests materials designed to teach children all about trees and tree
seeds. The online kit includes lesson plans and is available here for
download:

Tree Bee Competition
Tree Bee is an exciting educational experience for students in Grades 4 to 6 to explore the world of nature, forestry and conservation. Working in teams, the students learn how to identify trees by exploring the outdoors and studying the interactive Tree Bee CD.

 

Envirothon
The Ontario Envirothon is a hands-on environmental education program for youth from Grades 9 to 12. This program is delivered through field trips, resource materials and competitions at the regional, provincial, and international level. Envirothon is the team sport for youth with environmental smarts.
